Afrocats are proud to present 'We Cannot Walk Alone' - a short film made by our amazing young collaborators for Horizons Festival and Refugee Week 2021.
They responded to the theme of ''We Cannot Walk Alone' through creative movement and poetry created during lockdown.
Filmed in Whitworth Park by Leah Olwen Llewelyn and co-created by the young people with dance artist Maya Marsh and spoken word artist Keisha Thompson, this moving performance picks up on the relevance of the 1960s US civil rights leader Martin Luther King’s 'I Have A Dream' speech to young people today.
This dynamic performance from our Youth of the World programme showcases the creative expression and talents of young people from the Manchester's migrant communities from the global majority.
